Beth Myriam Guatire caregivers and helpers, Yocoima Garcia on far left, and Oswaldo on far right
Summary
Four years ago, "Casa de Maria" Guatire was born and has been serving 80-120 hot meals to children, women, drug addicts and elderly alcoholics. This BM is located in the parking lot of the local Parish Hall. The kitchen where the meals are cooked is a room in the Parish house. TLIG volunteers teach them to read and write, and free medical care is offered by volunteer medical doctors, including a member of TLIG Guatire. Lately, Yocoima and her companions have been helping some children and young adults get examined for the HIV virus, accompanying them to doctors' consultations, and covering their expenses. Some have been tested positive, the TLIG volunteers pray with these children, giving them hope and helping them put their trust in the Lord.
This Beth Myriam is celebrating its 4th anniversary on March 18, this year. The caregivers and poor ones who come to share a meal are eagerly looking forward to a feast of prayer, love, and blessings. They thank Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother for the kindness and generosity they are given.
