Announcing the 6th True Life in God Ecumenical Pilgrimage 2006-04-28
True Life in God 6th Ecumenical Pilgrimage
ASIA MINOR - TURKEY - GREECE
SPRING 2007
(The Book of Revelation 1:8, 1: 11)
On behalf of True Life In
God and Vassula, we announce details of the 2007 Pilgrimage. We
hope this will again be an opportunity for people of different
confessional denominations and cultures to gather together. Under
the inspiration of the True Life in God Messages, we look forward to
encounters at all levels between Christians seeking to find a
framework for a fruitful religious and cultural exchange. Our aim is
for all participants to have the opportunity to experience
ecumenical inter-action and discussion. Our purpose is to get to
know each other better in circumstances that encourage unity and
fellowship, transcending doctrinal and nationalistic separation,
isolation and self-sufficiency. With Gods grace, True Life in
God presents this journey:
"In the steps of St. Paul & St. John - 7 Churches of
Revelation - Sacred Grotto of Revelation"
to follow the itinerary of mankind's salvation.
Our programme for the Pilgrimage
will commence in Kayseri, Turkey, which will be the assembly point
for TLIG pilgrims. Vassula has prepared a 11 day itinerary which
will take us on a spiritual and historical tour of many ancient
sites. We will first go to Cappadocia and then,
following in the footsteps of St. Paul as he traveled from Damascus
to establish the church in Asia minor, we will visit: Pamukkale
(also called Hierapolis), Laodicea, Philadelphia, Sardis, Thyatira
and finally Ephesus where the Apostle spent part of his life
converting a polytheistic population to Christianity. From Ephesus,
we will travel to Patmos Island in Greece where St John - exiled by
the Emperor Domitian of Asia Minor - saw in a small cave the vision
of the Apocalypse, the Book of Revelation. Whilst in Asia
Minor, we will visit all seven Churches of the Revelation. We will
end our trip in Istanbul.
Note: In view of the full
itinerary, it may be advisable for anyone with any serious health
problems to abstain from making this journey.
