Vassula with Beth Myriam volunteers during her visit in Nov. 2005
Summary
Travelling to distant tribal villages in the mountainous north of the Philippines, food, clothing, and free medical assistance are supplied to the villagers, and TLIG Prayer Groups are formed. 250 meals are brought once a week to the poor in 8 villages and to the local prison. Through the work of the TLIG Tuao volunteers of this Beth Myriam, the Lord has established TLIG vineyards (Prayer Groups) in the Municipal Jail and in 8 far-flung villages where the poorest of the poor really dwell. Because they have been roaming daily, feeding these villages with both food for the body and food for the soul on a weekly basis, they called their work "Beth Myriam-on-Wheels". Sometimes during typhoon season, when bridges fall, the volunteers are forced to cross rivers by boat to get to some of the villages.
A delighted Vassula encouraged them to continue following the call of God to read, meditate and live the messages so that Beth Myriam becomes the fruit of what they learned from the TLIG Messages. She also paused once in a while to personally talk with simplicity to individuals especially among the poorest.
Once a week, the Beth Myriam On-Wheels visits the Prison to feed the prisoners and hold a TLIG Prayer Meeting
